Compare the full Switch 2 edition bundle
- Nintendo’s full Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy includes the original game and its upgrade pack.
- The upgrade pack on its own will not supply the base game. The full edition is scheduled for November 12, 2026.

The Switch 2 additions require Nintendo Switch 2
- The original Switch runs the base adventure without Academy, Oatchi voice commands, enhanced visuals or GameShare hosting. Receiving a compatible local shared battle is a separate guest activity.
- Buying the upgrade pack does not make an original Switch a Switch 2. If you later use Switch 2, compare the existing-owner upgrade option.
- Keep hardware compatibility separate from purchase entitlements and save data. Verify your regional Nintendo instructions before changing consoles.

Choose compatible hardware before an enhanced-edition purchase
- Academy, Oatchi voice commands, enhanced visuals and GameShare hosting are Switch 2 Edition additions. Joining another player’s local GameShare session has different requirements.
- For any of those additions, you need a Switch 2 and the full edition, or the base game plus its upgrade pack. The full release is November 12, 2026.
- Do not buy the upgrade pack as a standalone game. This planner does not promise licence sharing or save conversion between consoles.
